To use Use Case Scenarios to define project requirements
Identify your project client
Create a brief project summary
Identify all actors for your project (you may need to work with your client)
Create Use Case Scenarios that are unique to your project and document as a use case scenario. Note you do not need to produce Use Case for common functions like login or creating an account.
There are lots of examples of Use Case based software - this is all part of Agile. Some articles worth noting are;
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Use_case - This article is good and has examples
https://www.lucidchart.com/pages/use-case-scenario-example-and-template-UML - The Lucid Chart online tool allows easy documentation of use case scenarios
http://www.watermarklearning.com/blog/scenarios-and-use-cases/ - Basic definitions supporting Use Case methodology.
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd409432.aspx - Visual Studio users can create these in VS2015, here is some documentation
This should take 8-12 hours to fully document
